NB* For First year students only, when you connect to Eduroam you will have connection with restricted capacity until the end of March 2023 and then disconnected if you do not opt in.
If you do opt in, you will have full access to university services.
To register a windows device to access our Wi-Fi: Eduroam, complete the following steps:
Step-by-step guide
- After completing RegisterMe! click on Instructions for using the CAT that pertains to your device or enter link https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=2472&profile=4284
- Click the MS Windows 10,11 button
- Save the file (If you are using Edge and running into Virus scan issues, select "keep")
Select Eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool.
- Select Stellenbosch University in User Group.
- Select Eduroam Tab to download the Eduroam Tool
- Once downloaded,launch file and select run to begin installation
- You will be prompted to login with your Stellenbosch University account details.
- Username is your email address (student number or username@sun.ac.za).
- Password is your password.
- Click on Install and follow the steps and select Finish to complete.
- Click Eduroam on your Wi-Fi menu and it will automatically connect.
