NB* For First year students only, when you connect to Eduroam you will have connection with restricted capacity until the end of March of the current year and then disconnected if you do not opt in.
If you do opt in, you will have full access to university services.

Step-by-step guide


  1. After completing RegisterMe! disconnect from RegisterMe Wi-Fi and go to your wifi settings
  2. Click on Eduroam
  3. Sign in with your SU credentials, i.e. your SU email address and SU password
  4. Click on connect
  5. If you get prompted for the Certificate, please select accept
  6. You will now be connected to Eduroam
    1. If the certificate does not prompt do the following: Under CA Certificate, select Use System Certificate and repeat from step 3

** ALTERNATIVELY, PLEASE TRY THE STEPS BELOW:

  1. After completing RegisterMe! Go to the Google Play store and install the Geteduroam app
  2. Open the App and search for and select Stellenbosch University
  3. Select the Stellenbosch University profile
  4. Enter your SU credentials using full email as username
  5. Click on connect
  6. Select save when prompted to save Eduroam network
  7. Go to WiFi and confirm your connection to Eduroam
