Add the assignment activity to a section/topic in your course.
General

Ensure that the Assignment Name has been captured correctly.

In the Description field, enter the assignment details and any relevant information / instructions the students might require.

Add any Additional Files that the students might require using the file picker or simply drag-and-drop the files into the file placeholder.

Selecting Display description on course page only displays a portion of the description to the students.

Availability

Set the timing (Start, Due, Cut-off and/or Reminder dates) by firstly enabling the date/time period parameters to be set.
(Ensure that the Enable box is marked with a ticked).

Allow submissions from → students will not be able to submit before this date.

Due date → This is when the assignment is due. Submissions after this date are allowed, but will be marked as late.

Cut-off date → No submissions will be accepted after this date. 

Remind me to grade by → The expected date that submissions should be marked. (for facilitators

Submission types

Select the submission types allowed.

Online PoodLL

Online PoodLL → students are able to record audio/ visual, snap pictures or use a Whiteboard as per the settings set for the assignment.

Select the PoodLL Recording (Rec.) Type from the dropdown list.

Set the maximum recording time by entering the PoodLL Rec. Time Limit

Upload background image file in the PoodLL Whiteboard Back file space.

Select the PoodLL Whiteboard Size.




File Submissions

File Submissions → students are allowed to upload (a) file/s as per the setting of the assignment.

Set the Maximum number of uploaded files allowed.

Set the Maximum submission size (Recommended size : ≤ 100MB)

Select the Accepted file types. (Optional)




Online Text

Online Text → students are able to type rich text into the online editor.

Enter a maximum Word limit.

Feedback Types

Select the Feedback type/s that would be used to give feedback to the students.

Feedback Comments → the grader is able to leave feedback comments for each submission

Annotate PDF → the grader can create annotated PDF files when grading. The annotating is done within the assignment view in the browser and does not require additional software. 

Feedback Files → allows for feedback files to be uploaded

Offline Grading Worksheet → the grader is able to upload/download worksheets with student grades.

Feedback PoodLL → the grader can leave audio/visual assignment feedback.

Select the Accepted file type/s for feedback file uploads (used if there is more than 1 grader).

Select whether to Comment inline with the submission text copied into the feedback comment field.

Select the PoodLL Recorder type to be used, if using audio/visual feedback.

Select whether to make a download link to the Feedback PoodLL available by enabling Show download link.
