Connecting an Apple device

Complete the following steps:

1. Click on Instructions for using the CAT tool that pertains to your device or enter link https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=2472&profile=4284
2. Click the Android 10 and higher button
3. Open the saved Config file.
4. Once it has open, click Install and run the install.
5. Eduroam on your Wi-Fi menu and the following should appear
6. Enter or select the following settings to connect:
   1. Select EAP method: PEAP
   2. Select Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPv2
   3. Set CA certificate: Do not validate
   4. Enter your

      autofill
   2. A green Profile installed message will apprear.
   3. Exit the CAT tool and go to your wifi settings.
   4. Select gear next to Eduroam
   5. 1. 1. auto fill
         2. Anonymous identity: Leave it blank
         3. Enter your Password: Enter your university password
      Enter or select the following settings to connect:
      1. 2. Certain Android devices: under advanced settings there will be a "use device mac address" or "turn off random mac address" please select use device mac address
         3. Click connect
         4. You will now be connected to Wi-Fi: Eduroam

Complete the following steps: 

1. Select Eduroam from wifi menu
2. Under username enter your Identity: Full
3. Click on Instructions for using the CAT tool that pertains to your device or enter link https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=2472&profile=4284
4. Click the MS Windows 10,11 button
5. Save the file
6. Go to your downloads and run the eduroam Stellenbosch University file.
7. Click on Run
8. The install wizard will run. Click Next.
9. "The installer will only work properly if you are a member of Stellenbosch University."
10. Enter login details: full university email e.g username@sun.ac.zaand ^{Image Added}
11. Enter your university password
12. Click OK 
    
    • Image RemovedIf you are prompted with a warning message, click on Connect 
13. Once credentials are verified and authenticated status message will be: Connected, secured

14. You will now be connected to Wi-Fi: Eduroam

On iPhone or iPad:

1. Go to Eduroam wifi and press the blue "i"
2. Forget the network.
3. When it shows up, click blue "i" again
4. Deselect private address
5. Turn off auto join
6. Join network
7. Enter full university email and password
8. Trust certificate

On Macbook

NB* Make sure your device has the latest software update

1. Select Eduroam from the network menu
2. enter your Identity: Full
3. Click on Instructions for using the CAT tool that pertains to your device or enter link https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=2472&profile=4284
4. Click the Apple device button.
5. Allow the Config file to be downloaded
6. Go to Settings and select Profile downloaded.
7. Install the selected profile.
8. Next on Consent
9. Install on the next page.
10. Enter login details: full university email e.g username@sun.ac.za^{Image Added}
11. Enter your university password.
12. Profile should now be installed.
13. Go to your wifi setting and select blue "i" next to Eduroam (for iOS/Mobile)
    
14. Deselect private address (iOS/Mobile)
    
15.  Disable auto join
16.  Click Join network
17. Click OK
18. Once credentials are verified and authenticated status message will be: Connected, unsecured

2. You will then be prompted to make changes for your Macbook, enter your device password.
3. You will then be connected to Eduroam
