Notification settings

Your site can alert you when you have new messages from other users. You can receive alerts about new forum posts or assignments and more.

You can receive these alerts via email or pop up, and you can control how you receive them from the Notifications menu.

Notifications alert users about events in SUNLearn such as new forum posts, assignments needing grading or badges awarded. New notifications are highlighted with a number in the notifications menu at the top of the screen.

Clicking the configuration icon will display a list of notification settings available in Moodle.

  • A user has an option to enable or disable all notifications when Online or Offline.
  • Users can configure how they are notified of new events from their notification preferences page accessed from the user menu or from the notifications menu.
  • Notifications may be sent via the web (when logged in to Moodle), email and SUNLearn Mobile App.
  • When ‘Web offline’ options is turned on, the user gets notifications on their next login to SUNLearn.
