A lecturer, or other user with the update course settings capability, can change course settings in the Course administration settings.

  • Edit settingsA user (Facilitator/Manager) who has editing rights, can change course settings as needed.
  • Turn editing offOnce you have made changes or uploaded content, this returns the course to normal mode.
  • Course completion(Optional but recommended setting) Users can choose how students’ mark the course complete. Moodle has a set of conditions that mark an activity complete. An instructor can determine whether Any or All of the conditions count towards completion.
  • Filters - Can be used to add links, insert multimedia players, and convert Mathematical expressions or emoticons into images and more.
  • Gradebook setup - (Optional but recommended) An instructor can arrange grade items, add columns and categories, and customise how students' grades are calculated.
  • Outcomes - (Optional but recommended) Specific description of what a student has to demonstrate and understand at the completion of an activity or course.
  • Import - Course activities and resources may be imported from any other course that the instructor has editing permissions in.
  • ShareWhen sharing a course, an instructor chooses whether to share for download or for other users to enrol. This option is as per approval by LTS.
  • Reset - This allows you to empty a course of user data, or individual activity data, while retaining the activities and other settings.
